Readership

What is readership?

Readership is defined as the number of people who have read or looked into an (average) issue of a publication. The results are 'Average' as they are based on interviews over a full year. Readership differs from circulation/copy sales and is usually higher due to pass-on. Readership growth or decline can happen independently of circulation. Readership is based on a 12-month rolling average and is released on a monthly basis. The emmaTM readership survey is conducted by Ipsos MediaCT through online and face-to-face interviews among over 50,000 respondents aged 14+ Australia-wide.
